How to Create a Chomebook Report

The ChromeOS Device Report provides a detailed list of Chromebook Devices and their properties.

To get started:

  1. Log in to Admin+.
  2. Choose Workflow+ on the left navigation menu.
  3. Click on New Workflow near the top right.
  4. Select ‘From Scratch‘.
  5. Provide a Name and Description for the Workflow.
  6. Select the Trigger Type: Specific Date or Schedule.
  7. Click Next: Conditions and Actions.
  8. Choose New Action to set the Action – ChromeOS Device Report.
    • This will generate a report for all ChromeOS devices assigned to your Organizational Unit.
    • This may take a few minutes to generate depending on the number of devices.
  9. Give the report a unique Name.
  10. Select which Properties to include in the report.
  11. Click Export to choose a file type for the generated report.
    • Choose between Google Sheets or Excel Sheets (CSV).
    • Click Show Sample to view an example data sheet.
  12. Configure a Conditional (optional).
    • The Conditional is the logic used for the report to run.
    • A Conditional can be joined to another using ‘AND/OR‘ statements.
      • ‘AND‘ will require an event to meet all conditions.
      • ‘OR’ will require an event to meet only one condition.
  13. Define the Email To addresses and Subject Name.
  14. Enable Attach Reports.
  15. Write a message for the body of the email (optional).
  16. Click Next: Review in the top right when all Conditions and Actions are set.
  17. Finally, click Enable in the top right to activate the workflow.
